Maureen McGovern’s career spans 37 years, including recordings, concerts, the Broadway stage, film, television, radio and song-writing, all with a voice that defies categorization. Her newly released CD, A Long and Winding Road is now available on PS Classics, and garnering rave reviews. The New York Times has praised the collection as “A captivating musical scrapbook from the 1960’s to the early 70’s. Ms. McGovern is blessed with a vocal technique second to none.”
Grammy nominated for Best New Artist and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance, she received a Grammy for Best Musical Recording for Children for her participation in the CD/DVD Songs from the Neighborhood: The Music of Mister Rogers.

Loved this interview and really love Maureen Mc Govern.I had the priveledge of working her show at Resorts International Superstar theatre in atlantic city for 5 years.I was a trombonist in the Rorn Ponzio Orch.Her shows are the ones in my memory ,that I call ‘goosebump” moments a s a player and as a listener to her excellence.She really was ALWAYS infallable….which sounds like a load of cr–but I swear 5 years of working her shows at Resorts,many times a year.Amazing control of her instrument!What a Pleasure to watch,nicely done,and very impressed with Ken Miller and his accomplishments.Dede Briscoe
